INHABITAT design studio laid its foundation in 2016 – offering consultancy for architecture, interiors and landscape. We aim to build designs that are climatically and contextually relevant appropriate. Our prospective is to relate people and landscape, creating a sense of belonging. We simply believe that if a building can feel like it naturally ‘belongs’, or fits logically in a place, to an environment, a time and culture, then the people that inhabit the building will likely feel a sense of belonging there as well.
This mode of designing connects theories of beauty, confidence, economy and comfort. We aim to craft criterion solutions that address society’s changing way of living and working. Our office as well, is designed as a completely open plan office reflects the democratic beliefs of the practice. Staff wellbeing is important, with a conscious focus on providing good working conditions and ensuring a family-friendly environment.
Our Team
Pratik Bhansali
Ar. Pratik Bhansali, founder and principal architect of INHABITAT design studio, finds keen interest in the ways people interact with their environment, both built and natural. His ongoing exploration of architecture’s elemental qualities: materiality, textures and details, is in dialogue with the human cultural conditions.
He worked under architecture pioneers who gave him a preception of sustainable architectural practices.
He believes in the elemental approach to design where materials are left raw, in natural state to evolve over time with exposure to the element.
Heena Ajmera
Ar. Heena Ajmera, Co- Founder and Senior architect at INHABITAT design studio, interests in programmatic flexibility allowing the conversion of traditional design approach into a well thought development of space which focuses on changing the way of life of people who inhabit it.
She believes that people are happier and more productive, and communities are more engaged and connected in well designed spaces. She seeks to design transformative experiences – building and spaces that enhance the everyday lives of those who live and work within. She has been in touch with many academic and industrial experts while being involved in research and development sector in Architecture and Design.
